2010 TOUR BLOG:
We're back from our tour! Here are some pictures in chronological order. Enjoy!
3/7 Tour - Day 1: Los Angeles (home)
Leaving sunny California after applying Tetris Van Skills.
We were also outfitted with the best tour present ever by Miss Caren Lewis: Letting Up Road Trip Bingo Cards!!!
3/8-9 Tour - Day 2-3: Utah, Colorado, Nebraska...(comments)
Utah was a pretty drive:
But then...Denver show was canceled due to a huge rock slide. We got re-routed w/an extra 200+ miles to our trip onto a pretty icy & mountainous road. We spun out, doing a full 360, hitting the rails on both sides of the road. Luckily, we're okay and there was only minimal damage to the van:
3/10 Tour - Day 4: Chicago, Double Door(comments)
Our first show on the tour was @ Double Door in Chicago. Thanks CHI fans - it was good to finally get out of the van and play a show! And the weather was awesome!
Hanging out w/Kent's sister, Kara, at the merch table
3/11 Tour - Day 5: Brooklyn, Glasslands(comments)
We made it to Brooklyn just in time for our show at Glasslands, though we did get 2 speeding tickets on the way :). At least we didn't pee on the street!
We're not kidding here. Glasslands was on Kent Ave. right around from Mike Lee corner. Seriously.
Here are some photos of the actual show taken by theartistree. Glasslands was a very visually awesome venue.
3/12 Tour - Day 6: Manhattan, Pianos(comments)
New York was raining pretty hard the days we were there, but at least Pianos was a great place to play. A wonderful turnout with awesome a.k.a. LOUD sound :) Add one parking ticket (oops) and awesome pastrami sandwiches from Katz's to the list.
New York is expensive $$$$$$

Our friends Diandra + Cindy :)
Here are a couple photos taken of the show by our friend James Tolentino:
Here are some more photos of the actual show taken by BackseatSandbar.
3/13-14 Tour - Day 7-8: Days off!!
Finally got some rest. Also re-stocked on food/water, got an oil change, added some duct tape to the van, and hung out with Chris' grandparents in NJ. It was very relaxing and needed knowing we were going to play every night in a different city for the next week (with a total of 7 shows in 6 days).
3/15 Tour - Day 9: Boston, The Middle East(comments)
It was soooooo cold in Boston on Monday but it was still a blast. And we had the pleasure of playing with The Brother Kite.
Writing a set list.
We got there early and had a nice meal on the house
3/16 Tour - Day 10: Philadelphia, The Khyber
We actually had a few hours to kill before the show so we went to the Reading Terminal Mkt and got us some Philly cheesesteaks
3/17 Tour - Day 11: Atlanta, Drunken Unicorn
We were all pretty tired at this point and I think no one was in the mood to take any more photos. If we do find any, we'll put them up. Sorry Atlanta...
3/18 Tour - Day 12: Austin, SXSW Sneak Attack In-Store
Our 4th show in 4 nights in a 4th city. But now we're here to stay. SXSW!!!!
Here are some photos taken from the show by yousayyeah
3/19 Tour - Day 13: Austin, SXSW Coast to Coast @ Clive Bar
Starting out the day with some breakfast tacos at the most amazing Whole Foods ever.
Playing in the sun was a fun idea...but man was it hot! Here are photos taken by the lovely Caren Lewis:
They had an awesome green room and Kent definitely took advantage of it.
I think Mike is checking his basketball Fantasy league stats. what a nerd.
SXSW parking/loading kind of sucks ass sometimes.
While Chris went off to see Thurston Moore, we ended up walking around to a few bars and then ended up watching Holy Fuck at the Paste Mag party at Galaxy Room.
6th Street was crazy.
But we did get a Best Wurst!
We then went to the Cymbals Eat Guitars/Crystal Antlers/TV Torso/Twin Twigers showcase at Emo's Annex. Here are our friends Sara and Steve who let us crash their beautiful house in Austin. Chris (right) is cool too, though his face is permanently like that.
This is their backyard with our favorite dog, Layla
3/20 Tour - Day 14: Austin, SXSW Homeslice/WOXY (LAST DAY OF TOUR!!!)
First of all, we got free band shoes from the Onitsuka boutique at the Filter party. Sweet way to start the day.
Not sure what happened to the weather in Austin, but it got friggin cold all of a sudden. We did just get some free Onitsuka shoes from the Filter party on the way to our show at Homeslice Pizza so we weren't complaining too much. Also the green room had pizza, beer, coffee, and meatball subs mmmmm.
3/21-22 Tour - Day 15-16: DRIVING HOME!
We drove straight home, though we did sleep for a bit at an overpriced hotel in New Mexico. What do we do now? Get some sleep :)
Thanks to everyone who helped us along the way and everyone who gave us support as we trucked along, especially Chris' Dad & Grandparents, Cindy, Wei-Ann, Sara & Steve for giving us places to crash.
